Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
How to read an Accu-Clear Pregnancy test?
I recently took an Accu-clear pregnancy test I got from target, but threw away the box accidentally. It was one of those 2 boxes result ones. The first box was a solid blue line, the other was a faint blue line. What does this mean? I thought a purple - pink line or plus was positive.

I would retest in two days when your period is due and test first thing in the morning, as you will have more hcg in your urine at that time. Good luck!

  4. QUESTION:
How does clear blue digital pregnancy test work exactly?
I started a new birth control and I had my period the 3rd week into the white pills and the brown were the next pills which was when I was supposed to have a period but obviously didn't. Well I had unprotcted sex and my boobs ache plus my bowl movement has been out of the ordianry like constipation. I have two kids already so I decided to take a pregnancy test which was accu clear it had a faint faint line then I took two of the clear blue digital and they both said not pregnant but when I opened up the test about 2 min after reading it and the strip had one dark and one faint blue line but a little darker than the other tests. Do they work the same two lines prego and one line not or how do those read. I was thinking it may not me enough hcg level for it to pick up that faint blue line. I read one girl did the same thing and she ended up being pregnant, what should I do? I don't wnat to go to the docs again last time I miscarried! Are these tests the same as the pea strips?

    • ANSWER:
Okay, it's REALLY confusing with the lines inside the test, considering we're all trained to look for 2 lines=pregnant! But in the instructions it says to disregard those lines, and it's for a good reason. A woman will get 2 lines on the test strip for the digital test nearly every time, pregnant or not, because on a normal test one line is just a control line and the other is testing for hcg. This is not the case on this test...NEITHER line is testing for hcg or pregnancy. Although Clearblue themselves have not said this, some women have noticed that the Clearblue digital HPT and OPK have the same test strips and it's quite possible the line results have something to do with your non-pregnancy-related hormone levels. Here, I'll send you a link to a site that explains it much better than I could...http://www.peeonastick.com/hpt/digitalsecret.html

That being said, the Clearblue Digital test is among the most sensitive on the market, and it gave me a positive reading when I only got the FAINTEST line on an early response test. Try another test tomorrow or in a couple days. I hope I helped!
